This was created in Oils (you will also see this same painting in my collection done in Watercolors) to resemble the SNOB Restaurant (Slightly North Of Broad) is the abbreviation for the Restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina. This is across the street from the historic Cotton Club Restaurant. I used my artist license by added a different building down the side street to add more interest. Hope you like it!
I paint mostly in oils and or watercolors, depending of the subject at hand. I mainly paint for my own pleasure and from time to time, friends, family or their acquaintances have commissioned my work. Be it a house, pet or personal portrait, or a favorite scene or location they come to love. Over the years I have taken many photographs while on vacations with the thought in mind that these photos would be great subjects for my paintings.
