Historic Lambertville Station, NJ across the bridge from New Hope, PA. Two quaint small towns, including art galleries and small shops along the Delaware River. The railroad is no longer in use, but has been preserved as a restaurant. The perspective of the long windows with the train tracks going off into the distance is what attracted me in creating this oil painting. While waiting to be seated for a late lunch I took a photo and then recreated it in a oil painting.
I paint mostly in oils and or watercolors, depending of the subject at hand. I mainly paint for my own pleasure and from time to time, friends, family or their acquaintances have commissioned my work. Be it a house, pet or personal portrait, or a favorite scene or location they come to love. Over the years I have taken many photographs while on vacations with the thought in mind that these photos would be great subjects for my paintings. With that task at hand, I should have many happy years of painting. I really don't think of my art as having any certain style, but by viewing my work here, you may be able to come to some conclusion as to what that "style" may be. My current desire is to develop a freer style with my painting,...
